Layer Cake are two Munich graffiti veterans named Patrick Hartl & Christian Hundertmark C100. Their friendship goes back to the early '90s when they met in the S-Bahn depot to paint trains. After a few years of going separate ways, they met again in 2015 and decided to work together. The combination of Calligraphy Style with the abstract, graphic collage style convinced them to work as partners. Parallel to this, the new concept Layer Cake arise. The idea is to turn one of the most important rule in graffiti (“going over”) around and use it as their style. Without any exchange of plans, they paint over their lines, remain parts and create paintings with great depth
